Default Very small embryonic-like stem cells with maximum regenerative potential get discarde

Hello,

This is can not be found in the news. But I find it interesting though!

We ADULTS have surprisingly embryonic-like stem cells in our body (VSELs) in all our adult organs! They call it Very Small Embronic-Like Stem Cells. They have maximum regenerative capacity compared to fat and bone-marrow stem cells. But these very small embryonic-like stem cells are lost during cord blood banking and bone marrow (BM) processing for autologus stem cell therapy because of their small size. (Smaller than blood cells). This they say, is the reason why not all people get the same results with autologous bone-marrow procedures. (!)

...New data from our group and other groups have provided more evidence on the existence and biological role of primitive embryonic-like stem cells in adult tissues and their potential role in i) tissue organ rejuvenation, ii) longevity, and iii) regeneration/repair of damaged tissues....

Very small embryonic/epiblast-like stem cells (VSELs) and their potential role in aging and organ rejuvenation - an update and comparison to other primitive small stem cells isolated from adult tissues

Plus, VSELs resemble early stem cells developmentally; if isolated from adult Tissue, they may differ somewhat in their regenerative potential.

They did some tests, and these embryonic stem cells repaird the heart in mice after myocard infarct and repaired damaged lung tissue too.

greetings.

It would be nice to see any clinical evidence in humans that they work. Dr. Young said he had discovered primitive embryonic like stem cells that could form any cell in the body. I had 3 of his treatments which included these types of cells and can say that I got zero regeneration from them.

This article claims that some are lost during marrow extractions and cord blood banking. The treatments I got were peripheral blood treatments which supposedly had the capability of greatly expanding these types of stem cells during the processing procedure. And yet, I still got no measurable improvement whatsoever. I don't know of anyone that did. That's why I am not going to get too excited over VSEL's either until there is scientific proof of positive results.

I think many discoveries that seem to look promising in the lab or work on a rodent simply do not produce the same results in humans. There are still so many unknowns.

hi barbara,

as far as I found out these versy small embryonic-like stem cells VSEL are situated only in adult tissue not in the blood stream. My understanding is, that in the blood stream are not so many cells which have pluripotency.

But you are right, we need human studies with them. Plus, I think they need to expand these VSELs to get more, and to count and scrutinize them before the injection. To make it more scientific.

If I had a stem cell procedure, I would want to have some of these cells in a unrelated lab checked what sort of cells they are.

Barbara, you had a lot of stem cells procedures, how many have you had ?
best greetings, and have a good holiday.
