America v Fetal Stem Cells

Taking fetal stem cells from women who do not want to be a mother who feed, burp and change babies, but who would rather put them to another use, is not destruction, but a good thing.
Offering her unborn to viable uses for people who desperately want to restore their quality of life, or never had one to begin with, is the most blessed use of a fetus ever that only she can offer. Which, it can be said, is why men are reluctant to give up their progeny.
But, those who profess to speak for God or others who share their pious sanctity (more often than not, men), have decided it is better to damn women who don't want another baby to raise, damn those who arrange for them not to, and finally, deprive and damn those who need to make use of these gifts. A three-fer!
And, only in America! In every other country in the world, common sense reigns in these matters! Who said God doesn't want the brains He gave us to be used for developing the use of wonderful interchangable parts for correcting the damage done to many because of illness, accident, or misfortune at birth?
To me, the miracle is that the technology has been developed to meet the need, and the shame is that we are too pious to see it. As one relegated to a wheelchair and deprived of the use of existing means of putting it in the trash, I am entrapped by moral and ethical dilemmas of others under the flag of freedom that is supposed to offer a fresh start.
Don't worry. I don't like it and I'm leaving.

Not good
The use of human fetuses is inhumane and unethical not to mention repulsive. I have read that sheep cells are far safer and have had good results. Anyone know about this kind of cell therapy?Posted 09-14-2012 at 06:43 AM by Jswet
