The FDA is warning the public that certain Advair Diskus inhalers stolen from a
GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) distribution warehouse near Richmond, VA in 2009 have been
found in some pharmacies recently. These stolen Advair Diskus inhalers may not have been handled properly and should not be used. The FDA continues to investigate the matter.
The lot numbers of the stolen Advair Diskus inhalers are:
Advair Diskus 250/50, 60 doses per inhaler - Lot 9ZP2255
Advair Diskus 500/50, 60 doses per inhaler - Lot 9ZP3325
Advair Diskus (fluticasone propionate and salmeterol inhalation powder) is an
inhaler used to treat patients with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary
disease.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Since improper storage can affect how well Advair Diskus inhalers work, this
alert should be taken seriously. If you are using Advair Diskus, please check
your supply to determine if you have a Advair Diskus inhaler from one of the
following lots: 9ZP2255 or 9ZP3325. You can locate the lot number on the side of
the inhaler. Do not use your Advair Diskus inhaler if it is from one of these
lots.
If you have Advair Diskus inhaler from one of these lots or do not know the lot
number of your Advair Diskus inhaler, please take your inhaler to your pharmacy to examine and possibly exchange.
If you think you are experiencing side effects from your Advair, please follow
up with your doctor as soon as possible.
