Hi: One of the areas that I have not seen an answer to is "how long will the stem benefits last from the date of implantation", especially for those who were class three heart failure cases? It seems to me that the best estimate that I can find is that after 12 months there can be a down-turn. I realize that the time mode can be different for each type and degree of heart failure. Much of the time line seems to depend on the heart's pumping factor. If it starts a decline then apparently that is a major factor in determining if the stem cells are also declining in the useful functioning of a heart. Anyone out there have any thoughts on this issue!

I will submit your question for the Ask the Doctor forum. In the meantime, anyone that would like to comment, please do so.

My doctor asked me the same question this morning. Has there been enough time in the studies/trials to determine this?
