Hi Jeannine, just wondered when you and Barb had your uc treatments in April of 2007, did you have it in Florida or where? Do you know if Dr. F does the u.c. stem cell treatment in the U.S. or where ? I bet you are having a long bad winter?!!? Thanks knelsen

Barb and I went to Mexico for the UC treatments. Dr F can do UC treatments but he does those in Lima Peru. Only autologous stem cell treatment is approved by the FDA in the US.

if the treatment is approved by the fda does that mean insurance will cover it wouldn't that be great

To go even one step further with what Jeannine said, only autologous treatment with no manipulation is legal in the U.S. Understandably, that really is limiting. This hopefully will change in the not so distant future.

Just because something is FDA approved doesn't mean it's covered by insurance.

Costs vary from $2500 for treatment to over $50,000. There is no blanket cost. The best thing to do is to contact clinics and discuss their treatments with them to see what you would be getting for your money. You can also take part in the CellAdvance treatment protocol which has the potential to very slowly heal your body for only $87.00.

Just for the record, I spoke to Dr. Feinerman last week and he said he would do UC treatment in Tijuana for my husband, who does not fly.
