The following question was asked of Dr. Ghen:
I have been reading about colloidal silver. It almost seems too good to be true. Can you please comment on it?
His reply:
More than 600 microbes have been tested and none grow in the presence of silver. Only a few, and they are Non-Pathologic organisms live near silver area deposits. It has been used topically in conventional medicine for years like in burn products like Silvedene and have been use often in the past by Ears, Nose and Throat specialists directly on nasal mucosa to kill organisms.
The products today are quite varied. They range from 10 parts Per Million to 550ppm. These products also differ in their prep some claim of being in Nano Particles giving a more even distribution to the surfaces they are applied. The products have been used orally, Intravenously, eye. Ear, mouth, skin etc. For the most part the correct product for the correct purpose is very effective and can be a potent anti-microbial when used in the right dosage and the right route of administration. For the most part the low ppm are very safe and only long term use can present some side effects. Most notably, argyria a discoloration of the skin and organs.
Decide what you want to use the product for then seek someone conversant in the various products and their correct usage.
Health, Happiness and Hugs,
